Single Unified
Platform
The HP/Microsoft Unified Communications solution comprises an HP ProLiant
DL180 rack mounted server, an Audiocodes Mediant 1000 VoIP media gateway,
70 HP Networking 4000 series Lync phones and the Microsoft Lync telephony
platform with Geomant Contact Expert for Lync contact centre and customer
care software.
With all features
unified on a single platform, compared to traditional telephony vendor
solutions, the system is ideally suited for inbound and outbound
operations, self-service, voice and multimedia while CTI capabilities are
located in one compact system. Unlike conventional IP telephony-based
solutions which require special gateways, cards and call manager hardware,
the HP/Microsoft solution needs no special hardware and implementation only
takes a couple of days. The platform offers industry standard reporting and
conventional financial services industry processes.
“By selecting the HP
solution with Microsoft Lync for telephony, PBX and contact centre
operations, we gained valuable time and managed to consolidate all system
components on one HP industry standard server,” comments Pál. “Throughout
the project, Geomant helped to design and customise the solution, delivered
invaluable training and go-live support with minimal business disruption.
We experienced a smooth transition in time for our main end-of-year
campaigns.”
